Please excuse cross postings We are seeking applicants for the "Future Professoriate for Librarianship Project" in the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University. The project provides five full Fellowships for new PhD students studying librarianship topics. The Ph.D. program of the Syracuse University School of Information Studies has a long and proud history of educating the future professoriate for service and leadership in library schools throughout the country. The Future Professoriate for Librarianship Project, created to address the national need for library school faculty to educate the next generation of librarians, integrates preparation for teaching with targeted library research activities to enculturate doctoral students at Syracuse University to library research, teaching, and service and smooth their transition to being assistant professors in Library programs. The Fellowships provide full tuition, stipend and benefits for full-time, on campus PhD students at Syracuse pursuing librarianship topics. Applicants for the Fellowships must be US citizens or permanent residents.
