SUBMISSION DEADLINE: May 15, 2005
-----------------------------------------------------------

International Conference on Machine Intelligence
Tozeur, Tunisia, November 5-7, 2005
http://www.acidca-icmi2005.org

SCOPE:
------------
Technological innovation is related to more than one scientific field.
Cooperation between researchers in different scientific fields and industrials is nowadays inevitable.

The second International Conference on Machine Intelligence (ACIDCA-ICMI'2005) will provide a forum for theoretician and practitioner researchers, industrials, and academic experts to exchange ideas, share experiences, promote technological products, and address the important issue of the applications of advanced topics in machine intelligence in engineering and industrial systems.

ACIDCA-ICMI'2005 will include exhibits and demonstrations of real-world applications and will be a job fair by matching up applicants with employment opportunities.

ACIDCA-ICMI'2005 will be organized into five tracks focusing on theory, implementation and applications.
The tracks are:
* CI  : Computational Intelligence
* IC  : Intelligent Control
* IDA : Intelligent Data Analysis
* IPA : Intelligent Pattern Analysis
* ISA : Intelligent Systems Architectures

ACIDCA-ICMI'2005 will also include invited plenary speeches on selected advanced aspects given by experts in the specific state-of-the art subject areas. Invited special talks on major topics by eminent speakers will be included in the technical sessions.

ACIDCA-ICMI'2005 will be held in the second part of the United Nations sponsored World Summit on the Information Society circumstances, which will take place in Tunisia in November 16-18, 2005 < http://www.smsitunis2005.org/ >.

The venue for the ACIDCA-ICMI'2005 Conference will be Tozeur, Tunisia < http://www.tourismtunisia.com/togo/tozeur/tozeur.html >. Tozeur a prosperous town, was once, in its oases and mountains, one of the Roman outposts named "Thusuros" and a stopping point for the caravans coming from the sub Sahara to trade with the coastal cities of the Mediterranean, it now owes its fame and affluence to the stately palm and its world renowned dates - deglet nour "fingers of light".

The conference will be held November 5-7, 2005 in Tozeur in south-western Tunisia accessible by the international airport of Tozeur. The remarkable architecture of Tozeur, beige sun baked bricks set in geometric patterns, Moorish arches and high vaulted ceilings and the shops offering locally woven carpets, Berber jewellery and ornaments, promise visitors another aspect of Tunisia.

PUBLICATIONS AND AWARDS:
-----------------------------------------------

Selected papers, in extended form, will be considered for publication in edited books and in international journals.
ACIDCA-ICMI'2005 will offer best paper awards in three categories: Best Paper, Best Poster Paper and Best Student Paper.
