Requirements 
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundamental Components: Provide statistical analysis of complex
healthcare claims, pharmacy and lab data using multivariate statistical
techniques; develop/implement advanced analytic and data-mining methods;
data management and (i.e. data acquisition, programming and
documentation), research and identification of data quality issues;
recommendations on design and analysis. Solve business problems (e.g.
practical and measurable statistical analyses), in-depth analysis of
root causes/business issues.

Solutions Consulting and Decision Support: Understand health program
design; evaluate, write and present information to customers with
recommendations. Communicate complex information and concepts in a clear
and concise manner; creatively translate information using business
knowledge. Support and consultation to primary business customers;
interpret, analyze and present key findings to key internal customers.
Interface with other functional areas, mentor and guide colleague team
members.

SKILL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Well-versed in statistical model building and concepts, decision trees
and classification rules, segmentation and cluster analysis.
- Strong leadership capabilities and skills.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, data systems and data
warehouses.
- Knowledge of data mining tools desired
- Project management and team lead experience.
- Strong SQL and/or SAS programming skills (e.g. SAS Base, SAS STAT, SAS
Macros).
- Strong reporting and communication skills.
- Able to communicate statistical ideas and metrics to non-technical and
business management teams/clients.
- Professional experience is a required.
- Experience integrating data from multiple sources.

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION

Performs applied statistical research and custom analysis of integrated
healthcare data in support of provider network analysis including
specialty networks such as worker's compensation. Makes business
recommendations based on findings and is responsible for successful
delivery of decision support projects. Performs project and
resource/team management along with mentoring of individuals in support
of company objectives.
