PhD Scholarship in Statistics
Topic: Mixture model approaches to Data Mining
Applications are invited for a three-year PhD Scholarship in Statistics in the
Department of Statistics at the University of Waikato. The research involves
the development of statistical computation methods and tools for the robust
analysis of very large data sets using multivariate mixture models. Enquiries

The applicant should have an honours or masters degree. Preference will be
given to applicants with a broad background in Statistics, Computing and
Mathematics. The value of the award is $NZ15,000 per annum plus tuition fees.
