SLDS2009: SYMPOSIUM ON LEARNING AND DATA SCIENCE

Major results from recent years in this field - Grand challenges for the
coming decades
          
The Symposium will be held at CEREMADE, University of Paris-Dauphine,
Paris, France, on 1-3 April 2009.
          
Invited presentations will cover the major challenges in the field.
Following registration, texts and documentation for the Symposium will be
available online for download in the week before the Symposium.
Participation in round table discussion at the Symposium will be actively
encouraged.
          
Contributed submissions will be welcomed in poster sessions with 3 minute
accompanying presentations at the event.  Submissions after the Symposium
will be welcome from all participants for journal publication, linked to
the Symposium.

The Early Career Researchers Challenge consists of three data sets, in
politics, health and marketing, where specialists in the respective area
are awaiting submissions. There will be presentations by the winners at
the Symposium.
